Privacy
Daarmee leggen we vast:
- welke pagina en welke onderdelen je opent of aanklikt, en hoe ver je komt;
- je IP-adres, en wat we daaruit afleiden: land, regio en netwerk of organisatie;
In English
This policy covers timetable.show and its Dutch twin blokkenschema.online, the timetables on them (such as ade.timetable.show), accounts, the business portal and the Timetable.show app for iPhone.
This timetable is a fan project and not affiliated with ADE or Amsterdam Dance Event; the programme comes from their public website. The unofficial ADE 2026 timetable is made by Herman Pierrot (herman.yt), who is responsible for the data it records.
Your plan
Until you save your plan, it stays in your own browser, on your own device.
Visits and usage
The site itself uses no cookies. Each tab gets a temporary session code that disappears when you close the tab. With it we record:
- which page and which parts you open or click, and how far you get;
- your IP address, and what we derive from it: country, region and network or organisation;
- your device, browser, operating system and language, and the site you came from.
We use this to see how the timetable is used and where people get stuck. This usage data is deleted after 180 days.
The map for a venue comes from Google Maps. It only loads when you open ‘About the venue & map’. Google then sees your IP address and may set cookies, under Google’s privacy policy. If you don’t open the map, the site makes no contact with Google.
A starting point you choose stays in your own browser only; it is not sent to us. If you type an address, the site looks it up at PDOK’s Locatieserver (the Dutch government’s location service), which only receives your search term. If you choose ‘My location’, your browser asks for permission first and the location stays on your device.
Saving or exporting with your name
If you save or export your plan, we store your name and your plan, with the technical data above. You get a code to open it again later. Your email address is only stored if you enter it yourself, and you only get Herman’s monthly update if you tick the box. You can unsubscribe at any time.
A saved plan is kept until you ask us to delete it.
An account
You don’t need an account: the timetable works without one. If you create one, we store your email address, your name (if you enter it), your plan per timetable and your choices such as travel mode and starting point, so you find them on every device and every timetable. You log in with your email address and a password, and optionally with a passkey. We never store your password itself, only a one-way hash (scrypt with its own salt) from which the password cannot be recovered. Of a passkey we only store the public key, never your fingerprint or face: those stay on your own device. After you sign up we send one email to confirm your address; if you request a new password, you get a link that is valid for one hour.
If you tick the box, we link your use of the timetable (the actions above) to your account, so Herman can improve the timetable. This is off by default, and you can switch it off again in your account with one tick; your usage is then unlinked straight away. You only get Herman’s monthly update if you tick that box yourself.
You delete your account, with your saved plans and passkeys, yourself, in your account. A login stays valid for 180 days (a year in the app); after that you log in again.
The business portal
Organisers, venues and planners can get in touch and request upgrades via the business portal (timetable.show/business). For that we store what you enter yourself: your name, email address and phone number, your organisation’s details (such as company and VAT number and invoice address), your messages and your requests. Herman uses these to reply, handle your request and send an invoice. Paid placements are always recognisable as paid on the timetable. If you delete your account, your organisation and open requests go with it; requests that have already been invoiced are kept for the accounts.
The iPhone app
The Timetable.show app for iPhone fetches the programme from ade.timetable.show and keeps it, together with your plan, on your iPhone. The app sends no usage data: no clicks, no session code, no tracking. When you open an event, its photo loads from the ADE website’s image server, which sees your IP address. If you log in, you use the same account as on the website (see above); your login is stored in your iPhone’s keychain. The app only asks for access to your calendar when you add an event to it, and then only to add events, not to read your calendar. The directions button opens Apple Maps; tickets and the ADE page open in your browser, under the privacy terms of those sites.
If you turn on reminders, the app asks for permission to show notifications. The reminders are scheduled on your iPhone itself, from your plan; nothing about them is sent to us.
The Festival Pass is a one-time purchase through Apple. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details or your Apple Account. The app only asks Apple whether this Apple Account has bought the pass, and remembers the answer on your iPhone.
The front page
On the front pages of timetable.show and blokkenschema.online we only count visits: which page, how long it is in view, the site you came from, and your language, device, browser and operating system. From your IP address we derive country, region and network, but we don’t store the address itself; a visit is recognised by a code that the server calculates from your IP address and browser and that changes every day. No cookies, nothing is stored on your device. This data is deleted after 180 days.
Your rights and questions
You can always ask which data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Email mail@herman.yt. If we can’t resolve it, you can turn to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). More about how Herman handles data: herman.yt/privacy.html.
